Nick Rodgers

Metal Sculptor

British born, now residing in Spain, my knowledge and creativity in metal came after serving a five year City & Guilds apprenticeship in panel beating, hand forming panels and metal sections for rare and prestigious cars. These former years paved the way for me to develop the skills that I have in metalwork today.

A burgeoning love of art and the beauty of unique handmade objects led me to study the modernist arts & design movement of the 20th Century. The Bauhaus movement and great artists emerging from St. Ives, Cornwall, in the early and mid 20th Century became a passion, so much so that I opened my first gallery dealing in great art and sculpture of this period. Various larger galleries opened over the years to come and during this period, I was an advisory for the BBC and featured in major publications showing interior design also featuring art.

The following twenty years I spent dealing in fine art and worked on various artworks for clients and interior sculptural pieces. This then motivated me to become the sculptor I am today. The collective knowledge I have of metalwork, art & design have formed a long-standing passion for producing modernist forms in steel and assorted metals, resulting in complex and original forms.
